Padstow RNLI lifeboat launched to fishing vessel with gear box issues

The Padstow RNLI all-weather lifeboat launched this morning (Wednesday 27 September) at 8.37am to assist a 10m fishing vessel approximately seven miles west of Trevose.

The volunteer crew of the station's Tamar class lifeboat, Spirit of Padstow, arrived on scene and established a tow line. The lifeboat then towed the fishing vessel Serene safely into Newquay Harbour.

The crew returned to the lifeboat station at 11am.
