17 Aug 2013 - Red Signal Flare

Padstow RNLI lifeboat Tamar class 'Spirit of Padstow' was launched at 22.53 to reports of a red flare sighted on the shoreline at Treyarnon. Searched but nothing found and it was later reported that the flare may have been fired from ashore.

23 July 2013 - A third shout for Padstow Lifeboat

The crew of the Padstow RNLI lifeboat Tamar class 'Spirit of Padstow' launched for a third time today at 5.58pm today (Tuesday 23rd July) to go to the aid of a broken down rigid inflatable boat (RIB).

The 11-metre RIB with two persons onboard got into difficulties 4 miles south west of Dinas Head experiencing problems with the vessel's engine.

On arrival at the scene the lifeboat fixed a tow to the RIB and towed it back to Padstow arriving at the harbour at 7.30pm.

23 July 2013 - Busy twelve hours for Padstow Lifeboat.

Padstow RNLI lifeboat Tamar class 'Spirit of Padstow' was paged at 4.37 am today (Tuesday 23rd July) to go to the aid of a yacht with engine failure.

The 38ft yacht with two persons onboard experienced engine problems 3-miles off Trevose Head and due to the calm conditions could not make any headway under sail.

On arrival at the scene the lifeboat transferred two RNLI volunteer crewmembers onboard, to fix a tow and help assist on the yacht, which was then towed into Padstow Harbour by the lifeboat.

Crewmembers where tasked again at 3.38pm to assist Rock RNLI inshore lifeboat who had gone to the rescue of six people cut off by the tide.
