Volunteer lifeboat crew launched at last night (Friday 15 September) to reports of a missing person thought to be in the Harlyn Bay area.
The crew arrived on scene and began a shoreline search from Cataclews Point round to Harlyn Bay. Using the lifeboats thermal imaging camera the crew were able to find the casualty at Cataclews Quarry and alerted the Padstow Coastguard Rescue team who were also on scene searching the area.
The Padstow Lifeboat remained in position lighting up the area where the casualty was until the Padstow Coastguard team arrived there.
The crew returned to the lifeboat station at about after a successful multi-agency search.
